A night at Alpha

Pull up a chair.
Join the conversation.

Take a break from the rush of the week. Meet new people, consider a fresh perspective and make room for the questions you don’t often get to ask.

Eat together

Good conversation often starts with good food. We begin with a free dinner and time to get to know each other. Come with a friend or meet one here.

Explore together

Who is Jesus? Why pray? What does faith have to do with everyday life? A short film gives us something to think about and talk through.

Talk together

This is your space to be curious. Bring a different opinion, share what’s on your mind or just take it all in. We’d love to hear your perspective.

Curiosity belongs here

Come with questions. Come as yourself.

Maybe faith is new to you. Maybe you’ve tried church before, or you’re wondering what you believe now. You don’t need the right words or a particular background to join us.

You don’t have to know what you believe to start exploring.

Got another question? We’d love to hear it. Email alpha@lifepoint.org.au.

Do I have to be a Christian?

No. You can be sceptical, uncertain, interested or somewhere in between. Alpha gives you room to consider the Christian faith and make up your own mind.

Does it cost anything?

Not a thing. Dinner, the evenings together and child-minding are all free.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes. We offer free child-minding so you can settle in and enjoy the evening. Just let us know you’ll need it when you get in touch.

Can I bring a friend?

Please do. Exploring something new can feel easier with someone you know. Tell us who you’re bringing so we can make room at the table.

Will I have to speak?

Only if you want to. You won’t be put on the spot. There’s room to talk, but there’s just as much room to listen.

Where and when does Alpha run?

Our current course runs on Sunday evenings, 6.30–8.30pm, at the Lifepoint Community Hub through to 6 December 2026. Email the team to ask about joining or the next course.

How old do I need to be?

Our Alpha evenings are for anyone aged 16 or over.

The course has started. Can I still come?

Send us a message. We’ll help you work out whether to come along now or join us when the next course begins.

Your questions. Your next step.

Give curiosity a little space.

You don’t need to have it all worked out. Our October course has started, so get in touch to ask about coming along or joining the next one.
